The 2017 production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” was a paramount success at Dieruff High School this year! "Jesus Christ Superstar" marked Dieruff Theatre Company's first ever fully sung through rock opera and brought in 12 FREDDY© nominations including Best Overall Production of a Musical. The company took home one FREDDY© for Outstanding Performance by a Male Ensemble Member awarded to sophomore, Danny Garcia for his role as Simon Zealots and King Herod. The cast was thrilled to perform for 3 fully sold out audiences, an open dress rehearsal of over 300 viewers and finally on the stage at the State Theatre for the 15th annual FREDDY© Awards to round out their musical season!
